I remember bring that girl in junior high school that would put the jewels in the middle of my forehead. Remember that? So I was interested in taking something else and remixing it to fit my style. I used this look to cover up that ugly mohawk, I let my barber do to me. It helped and received a lot of compliments that day. Might be a signature thing between color treatments. Wink. Anyway, I love it. What do you think?

Throwback DIY Project - Fashionable Bracelets Re-Designed into Shoe Decor
Re-Designed by I'esha GaptoothDiva |
This was one of my first creations. I had a wedding and I needed some ultra bling on my shoes. Every shoe store disappointed me, so I had to do what a Diva had to do.
I used...
- A Glue Gun
- Two Fashion accessory bracelets from Macy's
- Some Super Glue
- And a pair of shoes I bought from Burlington Coat Factory for about $25
I had to hold the bracelets in place for 10 minutes each and after a few years, they haven't come off yet.
I love these shoes! They are comfortable and some serious head-turners.
Look out for more of these because I need to update my shoe collection. Why waste 'em when you can remake 'em.

Urban Wool Turban Made From A Winter Scarf
I think this look makes me look older and more conservative, but this is the best thing for me when I need a touch up of color and don't feel like messing with the make-up. The glasses are courtesy of Regina's in RVA and the wool turban was created using one of my winter scarves. I told you, I make things work with little to no pennies, LOL. My blazer is a clearance item from Target and a self-created beaded necklace (that is hiding near my cleavage) was added to make this casual look a little more dressy.
I wasn't in the mood for lashes or makeup but I thanked two girls at fashon show rehearsal for their lovely compliments on my look. Goes to show you can radiate beauty without all that madness. Get 'em dolls, "F" Your Style!

Welcome to "F" Your Style Dollface!
So with the success of GaptoothDiva.com and GaptoothDiva Radio, I wanted to expand just a tad bit into something I'm very much interested in. As if I wasn't already a nerd with the website, social media management, radio show, and etc, I'm also a avid DIY junkie. I love fashion (not labels) and arts & crafts, so my passion is recreating old clothes into new wearable pieces and thrifting.
Now, I know more than anyone how hard it can be to shop and style yourself with a limited budget. Ever since I quit that hell-hole to do this semi-full time, your girl's pocket book seems a little light. So what I've learned over the years of balling and then not-balling, is how to make a dollar stretch. This is not some cocky speech about how I'm the flyest broke chick in the universe (wink), but I make do, and so can you.
No matter what anyone says about your style, and the end of the day it's your style. You live with it, you adore it, and you created it. This is dedicated to the weird, nerdy, off the chain chicks who love to take it to another level with their looks and they don't apologize for anything. No insecurity here!
I will be showcasing my personal style and creations and highlighting a few of my fab friends along the way. I'm so excited because when I say I love this sh*t, I'm so sincere.
Anyway, until next time and thanks for stopping by the grand opening of "F" Your Style, where I take Fashion, Style and Runway and do it Our Way.
